About US
ATX Cross Training was founded on the Bible verse, “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8). We started with a simple question: “What actually works to help men to grow in their faith with God?”
As we asked these questions, we noticed that a lot of discipleship efforts for men miss the mark. They tend to focus more on information than transformation, don’t integrate into men’s daily schedules, and often miss how men naturally build trust—through doing things together. As a result, many Christian men lack practical training in godliness, and experienced men who could disciple others are often left on the sidelines.
Cross Training exists to change that. Our approach is built on a simple, time-tested pattern: receive God’s Word, retain it through prayer and reflection, obey it, and trust God to bear fruit. We invite men into a manageable daily rhythm—one chapter of the Bible, five days a week—combined with prayer and group activities that fit into everyday life.
Through shared experiences and trusted relationships, men connect with godly leaders and peers who encourage one another to grow. As these habits take root, we believe men will influence their families, workplaces, and communities in powerful, quiet ways.
Our hope is not just personal growth, but lasting impact—more men equipped to lead, serve, and multiply disciples across Austin. And ultimately, it’s all for the glory of Jesus, who is worthy of our lives and our obedience.
As Matthew 9:37-38 says, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” We have been praying for you.
Till Austin, TX is renowned as the city of men who love the Lord.
